Getting Started

How do I get started?

To get started, the sign-up process is simple and only takes 5 minutes. We only have 1 plan as we believe all of our clients are special and all deserve the best.

What happens after I’ve signed up for the plan?

We need your website domain (address) and your WordPress credentials (username and password). In order to to offer a truly comprehensive 24/7 service that enables us to fix your website under any cirmcumstances, we also ask for your hosting provider credentials.

Worst case scenario if your website goes downs, we will moste likely need access to the control panel of your website vial your hosting arrangements. No worries we will guide you through how to provide us this information.

What tasks are included in the dedicated support time?

Glad you asked! Content update requests and small design improvements are the most common requests, however anything that can fit into your monthly support time is free game. We just ask you to be aware that requests for new features to your website involving installing a new pluing or a full  design will likely result in a formal quote as those commonly go over the monthly dedicated time.

What happens if my website goes down, is hacked, breaks, etc?

The whole purpose of our client plans is preventative care, so we hope to prevent anything from happening. However, in the case your website gets rolled into the ER, we will be there right by its side communicating with the web host on your behalf. We cannot promise your website will not be hacked but can promise we will do everything in our power to prevent it, as well as assist in the restoration and cleanup of the website with one of our backups.

My website was not built by The Mobile Sophisticate, can I still be on a care plan?

Although these plans are for sites we build or re-design, we welcome clients who are looking for a long-term relations with a dedicated webmaster.

We first like to do a Website Evaluation to become familiar with the website, how it was built and any potential issues that can arise. With the evaluation, we will perform  all the “Website Updates and Monitoring” tasks and make a full backup. Most importantly we will make a list of issues to fix and suggestions for improvement needed in order to proceed with the website  on a monthly plan. Based on your type of website, this Website Evaluation is a fixed fee.

What’s included and service details

How does support work?

Simply send a support email to ClientSupport@TheMobileSophisticate.com. Our 24/7 team is highly responsive to any support tickets raised. When sending the ticket be very detailed and send a screen shot when possible, which makes it easier for our team to assist you.

How many support emails can I submit each month?

There is no limit on the number of support emails you can submit. However, if any requests fall outside of the scope of your plan, we will send you a quote to let you know the cost of completing such work.

How often do we apply updates?

Our team monitors your website 24/7/365 and apply any plugin, core and theme updates. Our team of WordPress experts check your website to ensure there are no issues after updates have been applied. If any issues or conflict is found we work on this until it’s resolved.

How often do are backups performed?

We take daily offsite backups of your entire website and database. We keep 7 days of backups, so if in the extreme case we needed to restore your website from an earlier backup, we can do this quickly and easily.

How do you keep my WordPress website secure?

We typically install and configure Wordfence, a plugin endpoint firewall and malware scanner.

Does it matter which hosting provider I use?

No. We can support your website irrespective of your hosting arrangements. If you aren’t happy with your current hosting, we can even recommend a WordPress hosting solution that are tried and test to improve overall performance and stability.

What type of content and website edits are included?

The plan edits include edits to content on existing pages, banners, headers or footers, CSS adjustments, blog content, adding a new landing, formatting landing pages, changing images or text, adding coupon codes or updating shopping carts.

They do not include custom development (PHP, plugins, themes, etc). updating custom code, graphic design, PSD to WordPress or building out a new website, subdomain or subdirectory.

Do you provide custom development?

Yes, if you require a custom development project, we can provide an estimate to carry out any type of custom development work. This can include working on your existing WordPress website through to designing a new website.

I have multiple WordPress websites, is there any discount available?

We are happy to negotiate a discount if you require support plans for multiple websites.

Do you offer a free trial period?

No. When we onboard a new website we undertake a thorough audit, which can often result in significant work being completed. As a result, we’re unable to offer a trial period given the nature and volume of work we complete in the early stages of supporting your website.

Do you provide support for websites anywhere in the world?

Yes, but all of our support and ticket responses are in English.
